Thanks for sharing this about Shane. He was a friend and business associate of mine in real estate here in Atlanta. I had not seen this write-up until today.

He was one of the few people that I actually trusted in real estate. We got to know each other when I sold some property that he owned and later worked on other deals together. I ate meals with him and rode many miles looking at land and laughing about life.

I miss him and his funny e-mails, phone calls, and just grabbing a bite to eat (he seemed to know the best local places). I still think about Shane and if there was something that I could have done to make a difference in how his life ended. Putting links to suicide prevention on my website is one small way of trying to help others. He was a good guy and my prayers are with his family and friends.
